Combating Cognitive Decline and Promoting Brain Health
Over 2.4 billion people are estimated to require rehabilitation services. Conditions affecting brain health result in significant disability and loss of productive years, costing billions of euros that exceed 1 % of the GDP globally. Cognitive treatment is at the center of rehabilitation efforts, as thinking problems interfere the most with vocational and societal re-integration.
To address this need, we developed a theory driven, interactive cognitive rehabilitation program, the Categorization Program (CP). Clinical studies indicate that the CP is an effective therapy modality resulting in improved patient performance and function. CAT-BRAIN will 1. digitalize the CP so it becomes accessible and 2. bring this effective clinical tool to the market to benefit large numbers of patients internationally.
