Cyprus Seeds Board and Management Team meet in Kalopanayiotis for a strategic retreat

Feb 2024

This month marked a significant milestone for Cyprus Seeds as the Board convened for a pivotal strategy meeting at the Atsas Training Center. With five successful years already under its belt, Cyprus Seeds is not only reflecting on past achievements but also setting the stage for future endeavours that promise to further catalyze innovation and impact across Cyprus.

Since its inception, Cyprus Seeds has been dedicated to fostering groundbreaking projects and initiatives, ultimately aiming to propel the country’s innovation ecosystem forward. One tangible outcome of this commitment has been the successful conclusion of a licensing agreement with The Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics, alongside the spinning out of four impactful projects from the University of Cyprus, Frederick University, CYENS Centre of Excellence, and The Cyprus Institute.

Among these success stories stands the ARTES team, led by Athanasios Koutoupas, Nikolas Bakirtzis, and Sorin Hermon. ARTES team demonstrated their innovative art characterization solution at the UNESCO site of St. John Lampadistis in Kalopanayiotis, showcasing the fusion of technology, art and heritage in a truly remarkable manner.

Through mentoring, training, and grants, Cyprus Seeds has empowered teams like ARTES to take their innovative idea from the lab to the market.

As Cyprus Seeds looks ahead, fueled by the momentum of past successes and the vision of a brighter tomorrow, one thing remains certain: the journey towards innovation and impact is an ongoing one, and Cyprus Seeds is at the forefront, driving change and shaping the future of Cyprus one seed at a time.

Stay tuned as we continue to unfold new chapters of innovation, collaboration, and success.
