Energy systems are greatly exposed to the impacts of climate change-driven extreme weather events, such as severe winds, floods and wildfires, significantly slowing down their green transition and the social and economic growth of modern societies around the globe.
To tackle this challenge, RGS provides a novel cloud-based solution to climate-proof energy systems by employing a unique risk-informed decision-making approach for planning infrastructure assets and low-carbon energy technologies throughout the grid, explicitly considering for the first time the uncertain spatial and temporal impacts of climate and weather events on energy systems.

This provides a powerful tool to energy system planners and operators, as well as policy and regulatory bodies, to make well-informed decisions on future energy investments that achieve effective trade-offs between cost, climate resilience and sustainability.
