BioSense is a digital biofeedback mirror tool that provides users with postural and muscle information in real-time, contributing to the prevention, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of occupational musculoskeletal disorders. By combining electrophysiology with Extended Reality technology, BioSense displays corrective musculoskeletal feedback on a live digital twin of a user who is executing a physical task, e.g., a musician playing an instrument, an archer shooting an arrow with a bow etc. A wide range of useful quantitative data is visualised in real-time and also logged for offline processing. This allows the use of BioSense as a self-administrated tool but can also be leveraged by healthcare professionals as both a prevention or an intervention tool with healthy and affected users.
